In 2027 the Symposium will be held at the Stone Age Centre Ertebølle in Denmark. The open-air museum presents recontructions and artifacts of the Danish Mesolithic period and displays various reconstructions of Mesolithic huts. Located in the land of flint, a number of high-quality flint outcrops are present in the area.
We are very pleased to invite you to the 18th International Flintknapping Symposium, which will take place from May 6th to May 9th, 2027, at the open-air museum and Danish Stone Age Centre Ertebølle in Denmark.
You will be able to collect flint from a chalk mine in the area. In addition, an excursion will offer the opportunity to see outstanding Neolithic artifacts.
We very much look forward to meeting everyone again and to share several days of experimentation, exchange, and friendship in this exceptional place.
