The Symposium in 2026 took place from the 13th to 17th of May at La Roque Saint-Christophe, Dordogne (France). For the first time in France, we have been kindly invited by the wonderful team of La Roque Saint-Christophe to hold our symposium alongside the site’s annual Prehistory Event. Located in the heart of the Vézère Valley – the birthplace of prehistoric archaeology with more than 30,000 years of human history – the unique abri setting offered an inspiring environment for our first symposium in France. The program included excursions to visit the parietal art of Rouffignac and the Prehistory Museum of Ley Eyzies.
